1. Scope and controller
Marginal Gains, Inc. (the "Company", "we", "us", or "our") is the controller of personal information covered by this policy. This policy applies to the Suihei application (the "App"), suihei.marginalgains.jp (the "Site"), and inquiries about Suihei.

2. Information handled by the App
The App does not require an account and is designed not to collect or transmit photographs, editing operations, or personal information to the Company. Image analysis, rotation, cropping, session data, preferences, and the free-export counter are processed or stored on your Mac. Input and output images are not uploaded to us.
The App contains no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics SDK, or tracking SDK. Its built-in AI does not learn from your photographs or edits while you use the App.
Purchasing or restoring an App Store purchase uses services provided by Apple. Apple processes payment and account information under its own privacy terms. We do not receive your full payment-card details. The Company may receive transaction information made available to developers for entitlement, support, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes.
3. Information we may receive
- Contact information and inquiry content you choose to submit, such as your name, email address, product version, and message.
- Purchase, order, or license information needed to confirm an entitlement or provide support.
- Technical details you voluntarily provide for troubleshooting, such as macOS version, Mac model, app version, or error description.
- Ordinary web-server logs, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and request time, which may be processed by our hosting provider for delivery, security, and fault diagnosis.
4. Purposes of use
- Providing, licensing, maintaining, and improving Suihei.
- Responding to inquiries, support requests, security reports, and press requests.
- Confirming purchases and entitlements, preventing abuse, and keeping legally required records.
- Operating, securing, and diagnosing the Site and related systems.
- Complying with applicable law and resolving disputes.
5. Contact form and Google Forms
Our contact link opens a form hosted by Google Forms. Information you enter is transmitted to Google and to the Company. Google may also process technical information about your browser or device under its own privacy policy. Do not submit photographs, license files, passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive material unless we specifically ask for it through an appropriate channel.
6. Cookies and analytics
The Site does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. We may use strictly necessary storage if required for security or essential operation. Following a link to Google Forms or another third-party service is subject to that service's technologies and policy.
7. Service providers, disclosures, and international processing
We may engage hosting, form, payment, distribution, accounting, legal, and support providers only to the extent reasonably necessary for the purposes above. These providers may process information in Japan or other countries. In particular, Google and Apple may process information outside Japan according to their services and privacy terms.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards, or to service providers acting for the purposes described in this policy.
8. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, support history, legal obligations, accounting, security, or dispute resolution, and then delete or anonymize it where appropriate. App data stored on your Mac remains under your control and can generally be removed by deleting the relevant data or uninstalling the App.
We use reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to the processing of personal information we hold about you. You may also have rights to data portability or to complain to a supervisory authority. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Children
Suihei is a professional photography tool and is not directed to children below the age at which parental consent is required in their country or region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children.
11. Changes and language
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, the App, or our practices. Material changes will be announced on the Site or in the App where appropriate. This policy is provided in Japanese and English. If the versions differ, the Japanese version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.
